What is content design?
Content design, sometimes referred to as content strategy, is the design, curation and structuring of content in a way that offers the best possible experience for the user.
Unlike traditional writing or copywriting, which might focus purely on crafting engaging or persuasive text, our content designers consider how all content (copywriting, imagery, infographics and more) functions within the interface and how it helps users achieve their goals.
Key content design considerations include:
- User-centeredness (resonating with and meeting the needs of the intended users.)
- Accessibility (user reading age/proficiency, readability, image alt tags, heading structure etc.)
- Effectiveness and efficiency (signposting and guidance, cross platform consistency, scalability, localisation and more.)
