About Aaron
Aaron is a highly regarded user experience consultant and interaction designer, particularly interested in managing the gap between the lightning-fast pace of technology and the slower pace of human adoption.
For him, usability and inclusivity are at least partway achieved by hiding sophistication to create simple, intuitive, beautiful experiences that will be as relevant in 5 years’ time as they are now…
Aaron has a great deal of experience in providing user experience insight and interaction design for the travel industry after spending three years working closely with Virgin Holidays (and the extended Virgin family) and then for Easyjet from 2010.
He has also enjoyed working within many different industries – from local government to NGO’s, the NHS to private health providers, Microsoft, Tesco, the BBC… and many more.
Aaron is highly experienced in a variety of user-centred design practices including stakeholder workshop moderation, requirements gathering, user testing, expert evaluation, information architecture, interaction design, and rapid prototyping. He is one of our Axure (a rapid prototyping tool) black belts and delivers our ‘beginner’, ‘intermediate’ and ‘advanced’ Axure training courses.
He has an MSc in Human-centred Computer Systems from the University of Sussex and a BSc in Psychology. Aaron likes to make and hack things from joinery to home automation systems. His house is controlled by a computer called Hal and he is a particular bore about technology, science and art.
