As part of our Internet of Things (IoT) consultancy service we recently researched customer experiences at airports, specifically the departure journey.

In the IoT you are ultimately trying to design service solutions, and in order to do so you must start by researching the ‘contexts of use’ in which a service is experienced.

Following an amazing night at the UXUK Awards, held at Sapient Nitro with Bunnyfoot once again the premier sponsor, there is much to celebrate!

Firstly, it was great to see some fantastic examples showcased from companies who had invested time into putting their users at the centre of their design process. Secondly, we were very proud to see two of our projects in the spotlight: CITB and The Financial Conduct Authority were both shortlisted and attended on the night.

Today is World Usability Day and the theme for the tenth anniversary is ‘Innovation’.

The official website of World Usability Day states that “Innovation in User Experience means that people can do what they need and want to, with technology, products and services that enhance their experience”, and their message, which we wholeheartedly agree with is:

“No-one should have to suffer through products and services that get in their way. People should not be made to feel stupid by technology.”

For two days this week, the whole Bunnyfoot team came together to not only enjoy the hospitality of Sheffield, but primarily to learn from and share with each other. One of the featured talks of the training was our CEO Dr Jon Dodd’s presentation on the history of Bunnyfoot from its inception in 1999 looking to the future using ‘Business Origami’ to illustrate it.
