A couple of weeks ago, I attended a meet-up in London run by the Service Design Network, where we discussed how we can improve the way we design for those who are vulnerable, as well as how to build trust through design.
Building trust is not an easy task – but if businesses aren’t able to achieve it, or lose it, the results can be fatal (you only need to look at the recent news about Facebook to grasp the impact that loss of confidence can have).
Thanks to the continued success of our Westbourne Studios office, we are moving on to something bigger and better. We’ve outgrown the space at Westbourne so need more, better testing labs and more consultant desks.
For months we’ve been on the lookout for the perfect location and we found it at St John’s House in Farringdon.
We are very excited to have Frank Rose joining us to talk about “How the digital generation is changing the way we tell stories”, a theme covered in his latest novel. It’s also a great chance to take a tour of our new offices in Clerkenwell.
In case you’re wondering why every November men start to look…different. They suddenly become fresh faced but as the month goes on fluff starts to accumulate on their top lip. You wonder if it’s a new fashion, or maybe some kind of disease…
…It’s Movember, the month formerly known as November, now dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness and funds for men’s health; specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Many of the guys at Bunnyfoot are donating their top lips to the cause for 30 days in an effort to help change the face of men’s health. These Mo’s will spark conversations, and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for cancers affecting men.
This year we have a bit of fun lined up for the Online Marketing Show. I’m not going to say what it is, but we have a killer theme you’ll want to investigate!
Stop by, there will be 2 experienced consultants on the stand to talk to and an eye tracking station to help analyse your website. Talk to us about what you do and we will get on the case to give you a bespoke solution to optimise your designs and maximise your returns.
Come to our Usability Clinic, stand E7110 at Internet World: April 27-29, 2010
With Doctors in our midst, it’s almost the same! OK, not quite the same kind of Doctor, but we are just as highly skilled at finding a cure for your usability woes. Our aim is not to stuff your bag with another generic leaflet, but to stuff your brain with specific solutions.
‘Sheffield?!’ I can almost hear you say,’ The grim Yorkshire city where they set The Full Monty?’. Yes the very same one and it’s come a long way since the coal mines and steel industry closed down for good; Sheffield has successfully reinvented itself a digital hub with a future the traditional industries could have never provided.
Sheffield has however not lost its love for Steel as can be seen by our new slide in reception ; )
