What is it?

By observing users with disabilities or impairments undertake real tasks, we gain rich and critical insight into their needs, expectations, and real-world challenges.

Usability testing involves a facilitator guiding users through tasks in real-time. It provides immediate insight and allows for in-depth exploration of user behaviours and reactions. 

Usability testing is an ideal opportunity to explore the challenges faced by your users who have access needs. You can view sessions live; we can also provide video highlights illustrating key issues and pain points that arose during sessions.

Professional recruitment of representative users is essential for usability testing. Our specialist market research recruitment company, Bunnyfield, have a database of people with a diverse range of access needs that we use to recruit participants.

We manage all aspects of the research, including test preparation, moderation, analysis and reporting.

We recommend testing is undertaken in our accessible lab facilities where we have additional consultants on hand to support users throughout the session. We’ll discuss with you the level of analysis and reporting you require.

When to do it?

Usability testing is appropriate and insightful when applied to any part of a product or service’s lifecycle: design development, pre-launch and live services.
