Mhairi holds a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction Design (with Distinction) and was immediately drawn to the fast-paced world of UX agencies.
Prior to specialising in user experience, Mhairi studied cognitive psychology at the University of Victoria in her home of Canada. Following that, she worked in the head office of a multi-business organisation across the operations, marketing, business development, R&D and customer service arms of the company which amassed over 100 franchise locations nationwide. During this time, she helped start up and grow two new businesses which now jointly boast 10 profitable brick and mortar locations.
She made the decision to move to London in 2016 to complete a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction Design at City, University of London. Following a six month internship which she completed alongside her dissertation, she was brought on full time as a UX Consultant in an agency based in central London. Here she gained a breadth of research and design experience with both public and private sector clients including the Channel 4, Santander, Sony, Kuoni, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Department for Education.
She is certified as User Experience Researcher and is an active member of the User Experience Professionals’ Association (UXPA).
When not at work, Mhairi can often be found racing strangers on Strava around Victoria Park or wandering the galleries of the Tate.
