Views and the village

The views in Winter are spectacular. Here you can see the Rif mountains of Morrocco rising above the mist in the Genal valley
Spring comes early in Andalucia. The meadows below the village are full of blossom from January onwards. These wild flowers are blooming in March
The imposing peak of the Crestallina can be seen in the distance. There are numerous paths in the Gaucin area and special guided walking tours are available from the village
The journey up from the coast takes about 25 minutes, and is not difficult. Here you see the road as it meanders past the Crestallina mountain
Laguneta can be seen in the centre of this picture, with nothing in front of it but orange and lemon trees and the view down the valley
